Life is good... still adjusting & balancing... but alrighty hee~ cny is coming, happie tt i can rest... but 24hrs is tooooooooo little!!! i still need more time!!! roarRRRRRRRR~

btw did i tell u tt i went shopping todae and its a one-of-the-best-retail-therapy!!! total damage = 2 dresses (one for work, one for cny) one blouse (for work) one 3/4 pants (casual wear) and a pair of lovely heels (for work)! All for.... $187!!! but i think we are helping to speed up the recovery for S'pore economy... by increasing consumption so thr the multiplier effect... ... ...

Hohoho me and colleagues spent like >3 hrs there... and u noe Tangs is not a place tt we (or rather me!!!) will frequent coz a simple top on the rack can easily cost like 80 bucks while a so-so dress can burnt away like 150$ away from u... haha they are almost all on sale lo... 50%-70% off loh... my goodness i think i went into the fitting room like 5x with at least 4 items on hand each time muahaha~

yeah it feels really good and cures my deprived and delayed gratification of shopping since last oct!!! but then again i wished there are more working clothes... mum says my dressing nowdays super cmi... booo (the old clothes look so rugged... but i love them lo) ~ yeah i want to revamp my wardrobe!!!

tots of the week...

As the week crawls by... i slowly discover my new year resolutions :

1) count my blessings
2) manage time effectively
3) stress management

somehow... even though its only the 4th day into beginning of the term, i am already very tensed up, keep thinking of my tutorials and lectures... though i tried to do finish my things in school and get home to rest, back at home, my mind is full of work. =( and its not right... deep inside i seem stressed up but i dont know why (maybe its just the emo me again)... and its only january...

When i get home, i get so tensed up with the slightest dirt i see and i seemed obsessed with cleanliness... i think i need to find back my sanity and lower my expectations??? yes, balance betw work (sch & home) - life (mine, his and ours) - balance.

no more late nights, no more regular enjoyment of Gem-of-life, its all about getting up at 5.30am and will my alarm clock ring? i need to conduct a good lesson. must be good, must read widely and up-to-date (not like 2 years ago, so inexpr). what to eat for breakfast tmr and dinner how - cook or buy? any expired food? if i eat this will i get too heaty? or is this the right way to do this thing??? when to wash clothes and what if it rains? have i thrown the rubbish and did i switch off the heater... bit by bit these little things r eating up onto my nerves!!! and its freaking me out =(

i think i need alot of time to adjust to sch. to living together. to be independent. to learn to let go. to go back to the old me. not possible i think...

it all feels so different... so apprenhensive... so helpless...

What a fast 2008, can still remember how we started preparing for the BIG day and now, I am a one month two days old Mrs Ang!

Mr & Mrs Bear wish everyone and family a blessed 2009 and great year ahead! :)

Lots tots... lots reflection... lots new year resolutions... hope i can pen them down before the school term starts... everything still seems like a whirlpool since nov... birthdays (overwhelming love from everyone), wedding (the perfect moment), honeymoon (retreat to the untouched beauty of the world), parties (Xmas, new year), getting use to staying with my significant other...

.

I have not yet really settle down and get ready for work!! Guess the ultimate challenge is to balance personal time + school + hubby quality time + housework + family quality time + frenz in 2009 ba... dun dare to think, just be positive!

Anyway, the MF gang came over for another round of merrymaking last nite.. at one corner, its the monopolist wannabes and...

at the other corner are the Wii challengers...

and guess what! We dawned!!! Why do we do such foolish things @ this age??? coz there are ple who can play frm 12-5+ am and still so miraculously fresh...

while the knocked outs woke at 5am to continue their wii (like zombies haha)... =O

The last time i dawned was supporting my bestest frenz ah huiz huiz, ah min & wei wei for the Sundown Marathon in June! its really... exhausting... we are no longer the 18s/20s anymore...

I love saying this phrase: We had our last supper of 2008 and started our first breakfast of 2009 together in MacDonalds!

Rem we had our new year celebration in 2004/2005 in East Coast also?! It was so memorable coz it was a blast! The turn up rate was good and bonding was invaluable. Our last bbq of the year and first breakfast together in MacDonalds too! This time round, another new member, Mr Bear!

Time to clear the nz album and ah bu is coming!! buaiz~ have a good sleep and rest guys!

Merry Xmas!

Even though the holidays are coming to an end soon, I still love December! Coz it’s a month of festive seasons which signify a month of gatherings and parties!! =)

Ending the last week of 2008, we hosted our first Xmas party! On the eve of Santa’s day, bear’s friends came over for a Notti Santa merrymaking! Thanks to my ah bu to save the cook-hopeless miffy’s guest!

And of coz our effort to M’sia to get the worth the $$ Secret Recipe!!! Cute baby Zhi en almost as big as the choco indulgence!

I also pop by to Jacko’s new place for a short celebration and their house is very pretty and cosy!! =) and of coz everyone is hooked by the Wii

And we had another round of Xmas party on the 25th itself =D with my frenz… but we had some family matters to attend to, so it was kinda party @ the Ang’s place w/o the Angs, think they had lots fun… so sad we cldnt join in the fun...

Star Fish Story

This was the story tt was told to me when i first stepped into NIE...

.

Once a man was walking along a beach. The sun was shining and it was a beautiful day. Off in the distance he could see a person going back and forth between the surf's edge and and the beach. Back and forth this person went. As the man approached he could see that there were hundreds of starfish stranded on the sand as the result of the natural action of the tide.

The man was stuck by the the apparent futility of the task. There were far too many starfish. Many of them were sure to perish. As he approached the person continued the task of picking up starfish one by one and throwing them into the surf.

As he came up to the person he said, "You must be crazy. There are thousands of miles of beach covered with starfish. You can't possibly make a difference." The person looked at the man. He then stooped down and pick up one more starfish and threw it back into the ocean. He turned back to the man and said, "It sure made a difference to that one!"

2.5 years into service, this is the first time that i celebrated xmas with my students! i attended my students' xmas gathering @ Clarke Quay on Saturday. It was so heartening to see so many of them turned up! It has been almost a year since i last saw them.

They are my very first batch of form class (27/06) - my angelic students :) And i was really close to them... Rem how i slowly get to know each of them as i laughed and yell @ them... How we survived the stressful 'A's together mugging/marking hard for the timed prac and exams... and how i hugged their farewell gift and cried the whole evening away in Oct and celebrated their joy of rainbow results in March...

Now my little starfish are all grown up... the girls in uni, so pretty and polished... the naughty boys no longer sleepy and lazy but serving the army and more matured... seeing them bickering around and catching up with one another's life really warmed my heart and opps ya i actually almost teared again but i held back coz i think its quite toopid to cry in front of them.. T_T

I guess this shall be the entry to remind me of the reason why i joined the profession and during times when i am tired and about to give up, i will look back and smile and carry on to do what i should continue to do even better :) for them...

Life as Mrs Ang

Kiora! Back from our first jog @ sbw! Exploring the new neighbourhood... hmm~ very new... While i am cooling down, shall clean up the spider webs in my blog =D

We are back frm the land of kiwi and i still cant believe tt i am married!!! Gulp!!! settling down as Mr Ang's domesticated wife and Sbw house owner =)

Yeah... there is quite a lot of backlog for the wedding prep, but life has to go on... so here i am to share with u bits and pieces of the newly wed life thus far! the history will be unveil in due time hee~

I treasure the holidays now... waking up @ 9+ every morn... preparing omelete eggie or ham cheese sandwichie for breakfast and reading Straits Times Interactive. We haven't subscribe to the newspp as yet... so will just make do with the e-paper..

Then watch a few hours of Gem show or do a bit of house work before i start whopping up a simple uodn/noddle lunch for the hubb ard 1pm. Nothing fantastic, 'mdm cai' still learning to cook a sweet and yummilicous noodle soup but there's quite a bit of ingredients.. green vege, carrots, meatie, prawn wanton, golden mushroom... hiak hiak hiak~ even tho its v blend, but at least i think it looks deceivingly appetising haha~

Later in the afternoon, the other half will be dota-ing while i am either gem-ing or reading up my econs materials (but very very ineff...)

We usually dinn out in the evening - either settling it at our parents' home or meet up w frenz. otherwise its hubb's turn to cook real nice pasta! and not forgetting the nyonya show !

Life is simple and happy! Tho i miss home once a while... but they are just a phonecall and 15min mrt ride away! and my a bu and halulu will pop by every now and then! =D

Kk... time to go pong pong and we are hopping over to Northpt to shop! heard tt it has alr made over bout 80%... Gg stock up our groceries too!!
