End of Semester reflection

6 mths ago, I was walking down the aisle as a fresh Mrs Ang embracing a new chapter in our life. I always can’t bring myself to think how am I to go on without my mum’s nagging and pampering @ amk home and juggling with work and housework in sbw... But guess what, I have survived the semester with no MC at all! Quite strong ah, having to look after myself and the ‘deceivingly’ BIG strong bear. Keke~

I so can’t believe that the June holidays is here and I cannot believe that I have survived half of the year 2! The six months have seen me change from a totally dependent spoilt brat to a half independent woman. (I mean mama still come over and help which is really a relief for me!!! I am a lucky one!) But I have truly emerged from a totally can’t cook rice girl to a noodle soup n chawanmushi expert auntie le hor. mai hiam bue pai la ah~

In school, it still gives me alot of satisfaction (teaching component) and it’s always so heartwarming to see my students grow in depth and mature. Even if it’s just one child. It is enough to warm your heart and think that the hard times that you went through is afterall worthwhile. It’s also deeply fulfilling to see ex-students coming back and excel in their life. I think that gives significance to the work that I am doing and greater existence in life. wow~

But now, i have a new idol and haha i think i am beginning to like him too! Laughing哥

A little more about my married life~

Little has been mentioned about married life coz we both have been super busy with work! Finally have the time to sit down and share with you the transformation of auntie fang! roarRRR~

Part I: Simple time, simple Angs

Two weeks ago, we went on a one-day get-away to JB (wow) with bear’s buddies aka JB-travelling kakis. Therapeutic window shopping @ Te Brau supermarket and relished our high tea moments @ Secret Recipe! I am a happy girl! We then ended the lovely evening with seafood dinner @ this obscure place that I think is near Kukup. How good was it? Just take a look @ the pic!

Had a splendid time hanging out with my beloved MF friends last Saturday with 'cat-hill' & 'D24' durian spread!! Whoa tt’s a blast man! No regrets leaving hubbie @ home! (opps) I did brought back yummie durian for him lo.. but he said not enough bleahz (dunnoe who's the gluttonie one)

Part II: New revelations about Auntie in the making! Gasp!

I rem telling hubbie if he ever gets kidnapped, I have no $$$ for ransom but I can trade all my noodles in the cupboard for his life!

In my aspiration to be a ‘stride out of hall and walk into kitchen’ Mrs Ang, I think I have ventured all supermarkets to try out all the noodles! I am trying my best to cook for the hubby when I still have the time before Term 3 hits. And I am the person who likes variety! Though no novelty as yet, it’s just soup noodle with lots of ingredients. Whahaha~ So still healthy la... i try get no msg one hor...

So last Thursday, I decided to be brave and try something even simpler – chicken macaroni! And with close referencing to the internet recipe, I managed to whipped out the following after an hr inside the kitchen! Heh no bad ba…

“It’s really not bad” bear ang commented.

I was on way home just now and I really ONLY wanted to buy fishcake at the NTUC to cook lunch tmr. But as I turned the corner, Marigold milk is having promotion! I wanna try the new wheat flavour! Hmm~ oh... next week I may have a few early days so I can have some healthy yogurt in the afternoon! Also promotion leh, $1.40 for 2! Aiya, tmr’s breakfast how ah?? How about a pizza instead of hotdog buns which we have been eating for weeks? Eh cod fish, darling can eat while he is doing work Eh longan almond jelly also got promotion! When papa comes over next week, he can eat while watching tv! =D
